Dr. Harold Adams

We are sorry to report that Harold Adams, FAIA, RIBA, and Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council, passed away on April 12, 2022. Harold was a true giant in the profession. He was a pivotal figure not only as the leader of his own firm of RTKL (now CallisonRTKL) but also the AIA, where he served on the National Board of Directors, founder of the AIA Large Firm Roundtable, and as Chancellor of the College of Fellows, among many other key roles. A passionate believer in education, he was a friend and mentor to many aspiring young architects as well as a long-term supporter of his alma mater Texas A&M University. Harold was a strategic thinker with a keen intellect, and was admired and respected by all who knew him. He will be sorely missed.
