A MESSAGE FROM DAVE

I’m in Washington DC this week, meeting with essential influencers around the hotly debated infrastructure bill before Congress. There’s large thinking everywhere, but the “devil’s in the details.” 
 
With so much funding on the line, the risk of mismanagement, irresponsible stewardship, and even corruption rises exponentially. Fat budgets rarely have leftovers and far too often, regardless of the fat, more is asked for to meet the basic demands of the project(s). 
 
Would that a public/private partnership could be assembled in the full light of transparency to ensure common sense management was applied to the entire spending pool. Would that responsible citizens would fill the decision-making seats and operate through a governance structure of risk aware/risk mitigated expedience. Would that open and transparent milestone reviews could be conducted along the spend and results pathway. Would, could, should . . .
