The Leadership Summit on Green and Sustainable Design was held in St. Louison November 2-3-4. Eighty-five delegates were invited to share case studies and new ideas on how to lead sustainability initiatives in the future.

The Leadership Summit on Green and Sustainable Design was held in St. Louis on November 2-3-4. Eighty-five delegates were invited to share case studies and new ideas on how to lead sustainability initiatives in the future. Special statements from HOK Chairman Emeritus Gyo Obata, Interface Chair Ray Anderson, Biomimicry author Janine Benyus, designer David Oakey, GSA Chief Architect Edward Feiner, Joslyn Institute President Cecil Steward, Ambassador Richard Swett, and Bob Berkebile,partner of BNIM,set the tone for all delegates and thought leaders to share their latest findings and practice applications. Additionally, Gensler, HOK, and Perkins and Will presented pacesetting case studies. Senior Fellowships in the DFC were presented to Edward Feiner and Bob Berkebile. Field trips included the Missouri History Center and the Missouri Botanical Gardens. The venue for most of the Summit events took place at the Westin Hotel designed by Booth Hansen Architects. The Summit was sponsored by Interface Americas with additional support from HOK, Steelcase, and Greenway Consulting.
