In a keynote speech at the 8th Annual Design Futures Council Leadership Summit on Design Innovation & Technology, Arol Wolford, CEO of SmartBIM spoke about the power of digital technology to transform architecture practice.
Arol is the CEO and co-founder of SmartBIM. He has been a well-known entrepreneur in the building products information industry for 30 years. He founded Manufacturers' Survey Group in 1975 and five years later entered the construction information industry with the start up of Construction Market Data in Atlanta. He served as general manager of Southam Construction Information News Service for five years, where he led the construction information businesses throughout North America. In 1997, he was named an honorary member of the American Institute of Architects in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the architectural profession. Arol is a Senior Fellow of the Design Futures Council.
